Part of becoming an adult in the Jewish world is accepting that we all have a role to play in making this world a better place for everyone.  The project is a tangible way for Bennett to connect with his faith, his community and the broader world.

For Bennett's Bar Mitzvah Project, he spent time this winter volunteering with Newton Athletes Unlimited (NAU), an organization which provides recreational programs to children and adults to encourage physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.  Bennett channeled his love for hockey and skating ability to make skating accessible and fun for the NAU athletes.
